The Bookseller will be running a series of leading seminars and conferences. The objective is to gather together leaders, commentators, publishers, booksellers, editors, and authors to discuss, impart knowledge and generally thrash out all the pertinent issues and developments affecting the book industry in the 21st century. The first 2007 schedule seminar is a discussion on the influence of the web on book marketing (Reaching Readers Online), more seminars will be added in future.
The Bookseller Retail Awards are dedicated to celebrating and promoting excellence in book retailing across the UK. The awards represent a sea change in book industry thinking. There are currently more than 70 awards that celebrate books and writing – and rightly so. But this is the only awards program that is dedicated to celebrating the increasingly complex and sophisticated skills, expertise and creativity required by booksellers in delivering sales growth and guaranteeing the long-term success of the business.
